Here you'll find one of the most action-packed locations in the Caribbean, offering golf, tennis, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, deep-sea fishing, horseback riding and island excursions. Palmas del Mar's location is one of its greatest assets. The pleasing Caribbean trade winds steadily blow across this section of the island, stabilizing the weather to an average temperature in the 80’s and making Palmas del Mar ideal for many outdoor sports twelve months of the year.
Palmas del Mar is the largest master-planned community in the Caribbean with approximately 2,750 acres of land devoted to a variety of residential, commercial and resort uses. With its combination of primary and secondary homes, lodging facilities and resort amenities, Palmas is the Caribbean's most fully integrated premier destination.
Palmas is located on the southeast coast of Puerto Rico approximately 45 minutes from San Juan, Puerto Rico's capital and largest city. Unique among Puerto Rico residential-resort communities, Palmas has over six miles of Caribbean Sea frontage, including approximately three miles of continuous sand beach. The balance of the water frontage consists of secluded beaches and rocky promontories, offering unparalleled views and settings. In addition, the inland portion of Palmas provides a variety of topographical contours providing for an extensive variety of land use patterns ranging from custom hillside residences to clustered housing developments fronting golf courses or other recreational amenities.
Palmas del Mar Country Club is the most complete Resort Community in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean region, offering premier amenities and facilities that satisfy every interest. Palmas del Mar has two 18-hole championship golf courses. Palmas del Mar Country Club also offers the largest private tennis facility in the Caribbean with 20 courts, including five clay courts, 13 har-tru and two, synthetic grass, Omni Courts.
We are considered the premier golf destination of the Caribbean, with two ocean-front, par 72 championship courses: the Palm Course designed by Gary Player, and the Flamboyan Course designed by Rees Jones. Layouts of around 6,800 feet (2,040m) each. Scratch golfers consider holes 11 to 15 of the Palm course among the toughest five successive holes in the Caribbean. The pro shop that services both courses is open daily from 6:30am to 6pm. The Flamboyant course costs $125 for 18 holes; the Palm Course costs $115 for 18 holes. Both courses offer challenges to the most experienced of players as well as breathtaking ocean vistas. To improve your game, the golf professionals are available for private lessons. It also provides ample areas to practice your putting, driving, short game and sand trap shots. Clubs, shoes and carts are available for rental, and a selection of the latest gentlemen’s and ladies’ sportswear and accessories can be found at the Pro Shop.
Palmas del Mar Country Club offers fine dining and casual dining opportunities from award winning chefs at the Golf Club House and at the Caribbean seaside Beach Club.
Outstanding Tennis:
The tennis center is the largest in the Caribbean with 20 clay and hard courts, 7 of which are lighted for night play. Year-round activities include group & private lessons, tennis clinics, doubles round robins, tennis shows, and junior programs. The Pro Shop offers the latest in tennis racket technology and sportswear.
Palmas del Mar Country Club has the largest tennis complex in all the the Caribbean. Its collection of 13 hard, 2 Omni (an artificial grass), and 5 Har-Tru courts (one of the latter a stadium built into the hillside and 7 with lights for night play) occupies a prominent place in the resort, a five-minute walk from most of the condos. At the core of the tennis facility is a full-service pro shop, moderate in size, whose windows overlook an exhibition hard court. To one side is a patio shaded by an overarching banyan tree and anchored by an outdoor bar called the Center Court Bar & Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The second floor of the pro shop holds a small fitness center. It faces a small outdoor swimming pool and is staffed by a full time personal/fitness trainer.
The courts themselves are laid out in banks of one or two, all with courtside benches and water dispensers though not all offer shade. Generous landscaping in form of trees, flowers, and lawns and the occasional pond lend a tropical feel even as the pastel condominiums on the hillside behind—a development called Monte Sol—suggest the Mediterranean.

The Beach Club
A 16ft tall Water Tower with over 200 feet of slides and a 100 square foot "water works" play system with a giant spill bucket and several interactive amusement areas.
Recently renewed with several water amenities such as a tower of twisting water slides and an outrageous waterworks pool for the young ones, the centerpiece of the Beach Club is its eclectic 8,000 sq. ft. swimming pool, large enough to accomodate three 25-yard lap swimming lanes, a pool volleyball area, multi-level steps for the young ones and several enclaves for relaxed gatherings. A whirlpool and toddler pool are located at separate ends of the ample sundeck which is dotted by chaise lounges generously attended by roving service personnel. Here you will find a beach volleyball court, the charming "Pelican's Watch Poolside Bar", and paths which lead to the spectacular beach of crystalline waters.
A tropical bungalow-style pavillion with imposing views of the Caribbean serves as the reception and service facility. Appointed with ample parking for both cars and golf carts, here you will find shower facilities and day-use lockers available to our members, as well as a restaurant offering a choice of dining on the veranda or by the pool.
